Alejandro Hernandez known as Chicharren pleaded guilty to burglary in the Southwest Lumber Co Commissary robbery last Tuesday night. Federal Aid Project 165 A Opened Between Alamogordo and Tulareosa
The 11.322 mile link of Federal Highway No TO between Alamogordo and Tulareosa was completed Monday night at midnight. About 60 workers were laid off with up to 200 employed during peak, eight months of work by Everly and Allison. Sub contractor George Salle of Trinidad, Colorado, supervised cement work for 65 cement culverts and three bridges. The route runs near the Southern Pacific line, on a grade with good drainage to prevent stormwater dips. The contract price was $194 213.48 and the new road, praised as a beautiful highway, is expected to open to traffic by Saturday.
