Expedition deepens visit to Altai for fossil tracks
The expedition moves west along the Altai north slope and then south toward Yhinese Turkestan with 40 members and 3500 gallons of gasoline. They aim to reach newer rock strata for human evolution tracks and to collect wild horses and camels plus fossil plants to study climate and prehistoric habitability.
