Flood Diversion Ditches Completed East of Town
T A Frasier and a crew finished two diversion ditches east of the canal to catch flood water from the foot hills and redirect it to the south main canal. A dam blocks the arroyo with a cut to a south arroyo and a southern ditch to aid drainage and prevent town inundation. The recent rains aided ditch expansion, and a controlled flood may form a new main channel toward the desired direction.
