50 Years Ago Plans Change for Kennedy and Smith at Morningside
Clifford Kennedy and Cam Smith changed their plans to attend the State of Iowa and will pursue a similar course at Morningside in Sioux City. They enrolled this week. A cement work update describes a double coal storage bing for Farmers Grain Co with a 45-foot cement stack and a 16-foot cupola atop the structure. Yolton Barr, son of Grant and Mrs. Barr of Akron, has been promoted to sergeant and serves as an instructor in France. Several births are noted along with farm sales, local school moves, and Westfield Red Cross activities. Westfield frost and corn-picking news are included along with local club and civic notices and drainage talks with the county supervisors.
