Akron Hogs Bring 23.15 At Sioux City Stock Yards
Elmer Schmidt of Akron sold 24 hogs averaging 216 pounds at 23.15. John Westhoff of LeMars moved 87 hogs at 23.00, Arch and Ben Herbst of Merrill 48 hogs at 23.00, Harlan Wagner of Merrill 50 hogs at 22.60, Ronald Hanstein of Struble 36 hogs at 23.00. Milton Anderson of Akron sold 24 heifers weighing 980 pounds at 24.75. Cattle and hog prices rose this week in Sioux City with choice slaughter cattle up 25–50 cents and hogs up about 60 cents Thursday.
