Westfield writeups report the P.T.A. and the Harvest Supper set for Thursday September 30 from 5 30 to 7 30 p m at the Congregational Church with a menu including baked chicken casserole and pies. Evening admission 1 25 for adults 50 cents for children. The Westfield Tuesday Club met September 14 in church social rooms with a history slide program by Roger Banks and David Lilly and a study plan for Europe since 1815. Teachers and staff for the new school year are listed with assignments and prior educations, while the program for the amateur show will be announced.
Westfield welcomes new and returning teachers across departments with notable training backgrounds. Home Economics instructor Marian Jacobson of Sioux City attended Brookings and Ames in her first year here. English educator Helen Seubert, also from Sioux City, has studied at Cedar Falls, Iowa City, and the University of Wisconsin in her sixth year at the school.
