University of South Dakota announces state wide educational services will offer extension courses in southeastern South Dakota this fall. A general meeting at Beresford high school on Sept 21 will select class sites for areas including Alcester Canton Centerville Elk Point Hudson Irene Jefferson Knox Parker Vermillion Beresford Viborg Yankton and Haavardon. Courses listed span mathematics education psychology philosophy anthropology music and elementary education with graduate and undergraduate credits available.
The Sioux Valley Horseshoe League ends a successful season with Beresford undefeated 12 0 in the regular schedule and champions in playoffs defeated Spink and Alcester. Westfield 10 2, Alcester 8 4, Spink 5 7. Banquet set for Vermillion Saturday evening October 14.
