Senator George McGovern will be a guest speaker at the Southeast South Dakota Experiment Farm Field Day on Friday September 22 at the Beresford experiment farm five miles west or three miles south. A meeting for stockmen who feed cattle or will feed this winter is set for September 21 at 8 00 p m in the Alcester City Auditorium. Union County Agent Robert Osborne says the program will cover price and cattle supply outlook and feeding tips. Similar meetings have aided local producers in past years and the event is sponsored by Union County Livestock Improvement Association State Bank of Alcester and Cooperative Extension Service.
