Haegele Announces Rural Housing Features of 1968 Act

The Friendship and Service club met at Ramo na Vander Helm’s home on October 10, 1968 with Marjorie Dykstra as co host. They plan a Remsen Iowa craft show on November 1 2 and 3 1968 and will donate 5 to UNICEF this year. Members attended the District Hight Federated Women’s Club Convention in Cherokee Iowa on October 1 1968 where a federation report discussed changes to the U S Constitution. The reading list will be posted in the Library with a shelf for required books. Next meeting is at Sue Higman’s home on October 24 1968. The program featured movies slides and souvenirs from Joy Dirks Mary Ellen Caskey Jan Boyd and Joyce Thorson detailing their Bahamas trips.
