Westfield on SundaySept 29th hosted a Nelson family reunion in the Congregation Cechures social parlor. The event marked the first time in over 40 years that siblings gathered, hosting numerous Nelson relatives from across the United States. Harvest Supper success served over 375 at the Westfield Congregational Church. The Westfield Tuesday Club met September 24 with club matters and Adventures In Reading notes. Westfield Hosts School Plan Meeting on October 14 1968
The Westfield branch of the Towa School Organization will hold a meeting at 8:00 pm in the Westfield Gymnasium to discuss the Great Plaina Reorganization plan awaiting submission to the 1969 Iowa Legislature by the Board of Public Instruction. Cheerful Neighbors Hold October Meeting
The Cheerful Neighbors Club met at Mrs. LaVerne Klemme’s home with nine members and one visitor. Mrs. Raymond Heeren reported on the county council meeting in Alcester. Mrs. Klemme and Mrs. Verdell Swanson led a lesson on Cultural Arte. Each member contributed Christus food and one item was chosen for the Alcester Christmas fair on October 29. The next meeting is scheduled for Mrs. Elmer Anderson’s home on November 5.
