Obituary for Mark Karch of Sioux City 1895 1972

Mark Karch 77 of Sioux City died October 8 1972 after a brief illness. Funeral services were October 11 at Nelfort-Berger Northside Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace A. Stark officiating. Military graveside rites by Monahan Post 64 American Legion at Logan Park Cemetery. Survived by stepsons Pollock and two stepdaughters, siblings, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. An Army WWI veteran and longtime Monahan Post 64 member she was a welder mechanic for Armour. He married Sadie Stecely in 1923 and Neva Pollock in 1943. Swanson 100 Years Old. Akon Resident Dies After Illness

Alfred Swanson died October 5 1972 at Akron Hospital age 100 years 4 months 21 days after a lingering illness. Born May 14 1872 in Edosa Sweden he settled in Chicago before moving to Akron in 1908. Survived by wife Amanda two daughters Elsie Carlson Antoinetta Baum four sons Stanley Arthur Herbert Leonard, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral October 7 at Union Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Roy and soloist William Bohlen. Interment Union Creek Cemetery.
