The 1952 Westfield High School graduates met September 23 at the Fife and Drum in South Sioux City for a reunion. Attendees included multiple couples from Westfield and nearby towns, with readings of class history prophecy and will. A future gathering was planned for five years later.

Miss Linda Kemner and her mother of Hawarden visited the Gerhard Moller home. Henry Collmann and Dick Popken called in Hudson. Jack Lake of Sioux City joined Henry Collmann for a dinner. Merlin Miller of Akron called on his uncle Wes Crow. Wes Crow learned of Mont Crow’s death in West Virginia. Several locals hosted guests from Omaha, Sioux City, Schleswig and Craig for dinners and luncheons as birthdays and family gatherings were celebrated.

Obituary for Nelson Brown 76 in Adaville area

Funeral services for Nelson Brown age 76 were held Tuesday at Adaville United Methodist Church with Rev. J. L. Vallery officiating. He died October 1 at Floyd Valley Hospital and was a lifelong resident and retired farmer. He served as a Navy veteran in World War I and held multiple local posts. He is survived by his wife Esther Philips and several children and relatives.

Funeral for Mrs Edward Willms held in Jefferson

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs Edward Willms 65 of Jefferson at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Sacred Heart Minn with burial in Sacred Heart cemetery Rev Justin Flakr presiding. A prior prayer service occurred at Schroeder funeral home Akron. Mrs Willms died September 26 1972 at a Sioux City hospital born November 8 1907 in Sacred Heart the former Myrtle Dubstand. She married Edward Willms November 19 1959 at Akron. They lived in Akron and Hawarden before moving to Jefferson six months ago. Survivors include her husband and four sisters all residing in Minnesota.
