Westfield groups schedule October meetings and events

Postmaster Examination Open in Westfield Iowa

The U S Civil Service Commission announced a postmaster vacancy in Westfield Iowa with a $5 735 yearly salary. Applications accepted until October 27 1964. Candidates need at least one year of experience or education above high school substituted for six months. Applicants must pass a written test and show good reputation and public interaction skills.

Ford dealers to boost investment in new facilities

Ford dealers in the Des Moines district plan to invest about 2.1 million dollars in 1964 to expand and improve facilities as demand grows for the 1965 Ford lineup. J T Cavnar says district investment already nears 4.3 million by mid year and the national program adds 2.6 million square feet of improvements in 1964.

Sioux City Community Theater season offers comedy drama and musical

The 1964 65 Sioux City Community Theater season opens Oct 6 with Bus Stop a fast moving comedy directed by Walter Gislasan as a UD thesis. The lineup includes Damn Yankees Feb 4 15 and The Miracle Worker Feb 4 15 with Anne Bancroft as Annie Sullivan. Nine Pine Street Mar 29 Apr 9 and A Thousand Clowns closes the season.
