Clarence Jones left Akron mill for a similar job in Lockport near Joliet. The town saw a heavy rainfall ending a long drought. Baker lost three draft horses to a mysterious ailment with a Sioux City vet called. Mr and Miz G C Putnam celebrated their wooden anniversary October 8, 1904 with a large family gathering. Warnings of scarlet fever quarantine affected the Degen family. A district conference sent Rev Hennings away and a 56 year old Waterbury was wounded by a forest rifle bullet at a party near the Waterbury home. Serious effects followed.
