Westfield Council Adopts Dog Ordinance Enforcing From 1975 to 1976
The Westfield council met March 1 with Mayor W B Neal presiding. Minutes and bills were read and approved. On March 14 public opinion was sought on the 1975 76 budget. Mayor Neal presented a dog ordinance. the council read and passed it with all in favor. Ordinance 39 takes effect April 15 1975 and runs to April 15 1976 and will be posted and published.

SDSU Dance Marathon Raises Funds for Muscular Dystrophy
More than 800 SDSU students participated in a 30 hour dance marathon raising 30110 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.266 couples and 300 fraternity sorority members supported operations while 36 couples were sidelined by blisters and fatigue. The event, fourth annual Dance for Dystrophy, led the nation in student involvement but not funds. Local participants included Swen Weinblom Kaye Willer Noel Chicoine Dave Curry Mahlon Dirks Karen Severson Gary Stenstrom and Clark Wilson Karen Brown.

Akron TOPS club 893 met Wednesday March 19 at 100 Reed St with 17 members. Secretary and treasurer reports were read. Best loser dropped 5 pounds, total yearly loss now 100.25 pounds. Members losing 10 pounds receive a charm bracelet. extra charms for each additional ten pounds. Ten members will attend TOPS ARD in Council Bluffs on April 5. Three new members joined, reaching quota of 20. Waiting list remains for new entrants. Two TOPS 269 officers visited and awarded three members for 1974 losses.
