Harold W Bringman dies at 64 in Sioux City

Harold W Bringman aged 64 died March 19 1969 at St Lukes Medical Center Sioux City Iowa from a heart attack He was born June 16 1904 in Troy Kansas moved to Eagle Butte South Dakota in 1910 He married Ora May Talbott in 1935 and farmed near Akron Survived by wife Ora six children six grandchildren a sister and nine brothers A memorial service was held Saturday at First Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Milne officiating Vocal selections were sung by Mrs Hugh Swift with Stan Swanson at the organ.

Hazardous Occupation Rule Requires Youth Work Permit

A Department of Labor rule restricting minor employment on farms and ranches to those with permits takes effect. Youth ages 14-15 may be trained for 20 hours, obtain a signed permit from the County Agent, and employers must keep the permit. If interest exists, tractor safety instruction will be organized through local schools with Chuck Norby, contact by April 2.

Transstors Television Course for Sioux City Technicians

Transistor television course for area servicemen starts Thursday in Sioux City. Iowa State University engineering extension, in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Public Instruction, offers five sessions from 7 to 10 pm on April 3, 10, 17, 24, and May 1 at Western Iowa Tech. William Faulkner of Akron employed at Westfield Feed and Grain Westfield Iowa attended a two day dealer training clinic sponsored by Protein Blenders Inc of Iowa City Iowa. The event was held on March 12 and 13 and targeted midwest BP Feeds manufacturers.
