Funeral Rites Held for Mrs Marie Robertson 71
Mrs. Marie Nell Robertson of St. Lawrence died Saturday March 11 after a period of illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Reck Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Barrows officiating. Interment followed in Holden Township Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Peterman Dwight Chipman Homer Creager Laird Swaney Robert Grey and E V Story. She was born June 10 1900 in Akron Iowa to L F Taylor and attended Akron schools then college at Cedar Falls. She married Nell Robertson August 8 1923 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale Nashua Iowa. The couple moved to Hand County in 1926 and lived in Holden township until her death. She belonged to Plymouth Presbyterian Church Akron later joining the Congregational Church in Holden Township and was active in church and missionary work. She was a member of the St Lawrence American Legion Auxiliary and Sunbeam Ladies Aid. Her husband died January 29 1961 and she was preceded in death by two sons John Angus and William, her parents and two sisters. She is survived by one son Bob of St. Lawrence five grandchildren three brothers Harvey and Daryl Taylor of Akron Iowa and Lowell of Oskaloosa Iowa.
