Westfield Tuesday Club meets at Congregational church

Sixteen members attend the March 10 Westfield Tuesday Club gathering in the Congregational church social rooms. Clara Mackey presides, Evelyn Banks hosts, and Alice Jansen, Religious Emphasis Chairman, interprets the club collect with daily living applications. Officers elected for two years: President Clara Mackey, Vice President Shirley Banks, Treasurer Nella Lilly, Secretary Grace Spaulding.

Westfield Community School Committee Meets Over Petition

1964 Feed Grain Program Signup Reported

As of March 5, 1964, nine hundred farms in Plymouth County had signed up for the 1964 feed grain program. County Chairman Cecil J Kennedy says eligible farms total 2,839 and signed-up acres total 40,189.2 with base acreages at 98,346. Farmers can receive diversion and price support payments, loans, or purchase agreements. Signup runs through March 27 at the county office to avoid delays.

Loans and purchase agreements for corn barley and grain sorghum reflect national average prices with 9ents 15 cents per bushel for barley and 23 cents per hundredweight for sorghum.

Farmers may join approved conserving use to earn a diversion payment and qualify for loans, purchase agreements, and price support payments. Let Us Learn Club Meets In New Beresford Home

Mrs. Russell Abraham hosts the Let Us Learn Club in their new Beresford area home on March 10. Thirteen members attend as they recite creed sing Were You There and America. A table decoration from roll call is chosen for display on achievement day. Five dollars is donated to the Addie Maynard fund. Demonstrations on nutrition are given, lunch with frozen foods is served, and the next meeting with Mrs. Delmar Abrahams is set for April 14.
