Westfield community notices pledge to keep school in town

The Westfield community gathered March 7 in the School Auditorium to support keeping an approved school. Eight Students to Attend Midwest Honors Choral

Akron High School is among twelve schools from South Dakota Iowa and Nebraska invited to join the Creative Arts Festival at the University of South Dakota. An octet of singer musicians Carol Gant Kathy Kenny JoLyn Tucker Talet Gerrietts Jim Henricksen Scott Baker Paul Johnson and Mike Earnest will rehearse and perform with the University Choir as the Midwest Honors Chorale. The event showcases choral works by contemporary Midwest composers and aims to give high school musicians an advanced experience and opportunity to perform regional contemporary music.

The Plymouth County sheep population was inspected in February and declared scabies-free as of February 27 1964. Sheep may move through sales shows fairs and exhibits without dipping if accompanied by a veterinarian health certificate proving origin.
