A H S Band Invited to Iowa Convention in Des Moines
The A H S band earned a rare invitation from the Iowa Bandmasters Association to perform at its May convention in Des Moines. Four to five top bands are chosen yearly. the A H S group was selected after IBA president reviewed stereo tapes of Autumn Serenade. The trip includes two Greyhound buses, May 21 departure at 3 26 PM, overnight at Hotel Savery with rooms for two to four students, and a 3:00 PM concert on Friday followed by dinner at Bishop's Cafeteria and return to the hotel by 7:00 PM.
