Anita Louise Henrich has been accepted for admission to Briar Cliff College in Sioux City for the 1975 76 academic year. A 1975 Akron Community High School graduate, she is a 4 H county council member and a National Merit scholarship commendation student, daughter of Mr and Mrs Gerald F Henrich of rural Akron.
Former Akron residents Norman and Marilyn Morehead observed their silver wedding anniversary on June 11 with a family dinner. An anniversary dance followed on June 14. The couple, married June 11, 1950 in Akron, have run a Merrill grocery store for 13 years. children include Sharon Dorry of Le Mars and son Mark.
Karen Moffatt wed Ronald Joslin at Wesley United Methodist Church Akron in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Ralph Burdette. Organist Jill Tindall accompanied, with guitar by Mark Ellerbrook and vocalists Dennis Boulden and others. Bride wore flecked sheer white dacron gown with lace trim. bouquet of pink and yellow roses and daisies.

Reception followed at the Holiday Inn for about 500 guests. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Gerald Forster, wore a Brussels lace empire gown with veil, bouquet of pink roses and baby’s breath. Groom is son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Netley Akron. After a trip to Okoboji and Minneapolis the couple resides Route 1 Akron.
Coyla Klemme of Akron was named among USD School of Education students on the dean’s honor list, reflecting high honors for maintaining a 3.7 to 4.0 GPA. The dean, Thomas E Moriarty, announced the selections.
