Frank and Harry Smith conducted business calls in Yankton South Carolina. Congratulations go to Mr and Mrs Lester Dewey and Mr and Mrs H F Willer on their new sons. Mrs Frank Smith hosted the H F club with roll call reading favorite poems and a pleasant afternoon of viewing old pictures followed by a three course lunch at 430 PM.
The Sioux Falls district women hold their twenty first annual convention at Alcester Lutheran church starting Sunday 3 30 pm with Junior Mission Rally. Rev W Eugene Johnson returned missionary from Africa delivers messages with slides and moving pictures. Evening service features choir anthem and more music. Monday morning includes nominating committee and business sessions with reports officer elections and delegates chosen for future conferences.
Clarice Anderson of Beaver Valley 8 D and Rev Eugene Johnson address the gathering. Mrs D J Edward of Alcester is elected president for the coming year. The convention closes with praise and inspiration despite hot dry weather. Junior Rally led by Mabel Jacobson. Mrs Hoyer of Dalesbury chairs other meetings in President Johnson’s absence.
