Akron mayor files findings in hubcap case and youth fines
Dr C R Mason mayor of Akron presided over hearings on charges of tampering with motor vehicles. Four cases dismissed. Two youths fined ten dollars and costs or jailed three days. Six youths fined fifty dollars and costs or jailed fifteen days. Three adults received one year in Plymouth County Jail for larceny involving tools guns gasoline and other farm and vehicle property. Total stolen value estimated at 1500 to 2000 dollars with most recovered. Judge offered lenient sentencing due to first offense and amateur status.

About a year ago a 19 year old youth paroled through juvenile court while under 18. The 20 year old Ronald Car Dempsey was also paroled. The larceny charge was filed May 25, 1959.

Crow Family Reunion at City Park Picnic
About fifty relatives gathered at the city park for a reunion with a picnic dinner and supper on Sunday July 24. The event marked a two week visit by Mont Crow and family from Moundsville West Virginia Roger Crow from La Crescenta California Frank Crow Phillip Crow Kathy Crow from California and many others from Iowa Minnesota South Dakota and Akron. The afternoon featured swimming and visiting as old times were recalled making the gathering a most enjoyable event for all attendees.
