Union Creek Sunday School and Picnic News

Union Creek Sunday school meets at 10 o clock with no evening service. The Junior Mission Society gathers at the Hall on Wednesday afternoon August 3 at 2 30. A large party of visitors from Rush City and Fort Dodge visited relatives here. A family reunion and picnic were held at the Hultgren home Sunday, with social time and a supper. Local residents and visitors toured homes and attended dinners, with rain cooling the area after a period of threshing delays. Swimming Championships at LeMars August 14 1938

The Midwestern A A U swimming championships for 1938 will be held August 14 at the official pool in the park at LeMars. Open to swimmers from Iowa Nebraska and South Dakota. Entry fee 26 cents per event with AAU registration required. Prelims 10 am and finals 2 pm. Official medals for first second and third. Mail entries to Don Hanson LeMars Iowa and obtain entry blanks at the Akron Register-Tribune office.
