Westfield Write Ups Special Correspondence

Donald McDougall left Monday for Montana and will visit relatives. Marguerite Martin, in nurse training at St. Joseph's Sioux City, returns for a three week vacation with her parents. Mrs. Bert Lawrence of Wibaux Mont. was here for her father’s illness near Elk Point. LeRoy Ross underwent a minor eye operation in LeMars and is recovering well. Congregational church services resumed after a two week vacation. Lilly Mae Schulz visited grandparents Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Lilly. Mrs. Cecil Harrington attended her mother’s birthday in Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ross and son John from Minneapolis visited in the Fred Ross home. Alma Vane and Dorothy McDougall visited in LeMars and Sioux City. Thos. Warren moved from Akron hospital to St. Joseph's Sioux City for further treatment and an operation planned Thursday. Ed. McCue hosted St. Catharine's Guild with many out of town visitors. Next meeting August 11 in the D. F. Connolly home with committee in charge. Helen Nelson to visit from Eagle Grove. John Mansfield staying with son Leo. Lavon Hough hosts Ladies’ Day. other locals hosted guests for Sunday dinner. Carl Kaek, formerly in Sioux City, left for Ashton Iowa for a teaching position at a new parish school. A daughter was born to Nela Sorenson of Sioux City. Mrs. Will Henhing of Parkersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Al Lubbers visited L. C. Huebsch and family. later visited Mrs. Iblings in Sioux City. Mrs. Herman Moss and daughter visited relatives. Mrs. Clarey and Jimmy dined with Will Buryanek in Vermillion, South Dakota.
