Hummel Carlson and Others Hold Reunion in Iowa and Nebraska

A large reunion bringing together Mr and Mrs Thomas J Hummel of Jefferson and numerous families from Omaha Juanita Elkton Spirit Lake Hawarden Sioux City Westfield Akron and Hudson gathered for visiting and photos. Ice cream and cake were served. The group plans to reconvene the last Sunday in June 1957 at Riverside Park Sioux City Iowa.

Sioux Sues 4 H Club

The meeting at the Wm. Gant home led by President Kathleen Gant opened with pledges and a roll call recalling Fourth of July activities. Four visitors attended. July 16 was set for a Vermillion picnic and swimming trip, with project discussions and an Achievement Day float idea. Next meeting is August 6 at 2 30 at the Gant home. Reporter Joann Sprenger.

Preston Pearls 4 H Club Meeting Notes

The Preston Pearls 4 H Club met July 12 at leader Ruth Barker's home. Members pledged, discussed fall project ideas, and planned Local Achievement Day for August 8. Talks on Van Gogh and Grant Wood pictures, manners in conversation, health today, and a flower arranging demonstration were given. Lunch was provided by the hostess Mereille Frichs.

County 4‑H delegates report on trips and discussion

Gary Banks was elected as Our delegate for county office. Darrel Easton reported on his trip to boy's short course at Ames. Allen Brown and Ronnie Banks reported on their trip to the 4‑H camp at Okoboji. Judith Knapp discussed sportsmanship and Cy Knapp talked about improving your record book. Meeting adjourned after the 4‑H pledge. Lunch served by Mrs Brown.
