Dickinson Attacks New Deal Waste In Iowa Speech

United States Senate candidate L. J. Dickinson warned Des Moines audiences that sprawling government spending and a rising public debt threaten the nation. Milnerville Mention: Heat, Hoppers, Fires, And Local News

Excessive heat and grasshoppers are damaging crops in the Milnerville area. W B Milner lost all belongings in a July 4 fire that destroyed the Gamberg house at Hermosa SD. Priscilla and Audrey Milner visited Sioux City relatives and returned home Tuesday night. Marjorie Knapp left to visit a roommate in Roland Town. Mr and Mrs Amos Brown and others returned to Verndale MN. J P DeRocher and Emner Mook report cattle losses from-age crop poisoning. Myron Taylor underwent appendicitis surgery at St Josephs Sioux City, feared pneumonia early on. Mrs Owen Taylor stayed in Sioux City by Myrons bedside, returning later. Willer and Knapp sold fat cattle in Sioux City market. Dorcas Knapp of Westfield visited the W R Knapp home and returned Sunday with the Knapp family. Mavis Fry visiting Shirley joined a swimming party with the Fry family. William Hickey and son James of Yankton SD visited the Alfred Fry home. Hickey longtime deputy sheriff. Banks family mumps continue to trouble them. Mr and Mrs C P Knapp accompanied by others.
