Collmanns Move to Plymouth Manor Nursing Home

Mr and Mrs Henry Collmann, long residents of Chatsworth and now Plymouth Manor in Le Mars, invite friends from Akron and Chatsworth to visit. Mrs Collmann served as Chatsworth correspondent for the Akron Register Tribune for many years.

Bean and Cheeseburger Casseroles for Family Meals

This week’s selections include a hearty bean casserole using canned beans and a sauce of sugar mustard and catsup, plus a Cheeseburger Casserole with a biscuit topping. Both bake in 350 to 425 degree ovens, with variations for crock pots and potential substitutions.

Immanuel and Union Creek Lutheran churches held annual meetings with a theme Evangelical Outreach. Budgets for 1977 were approved. Immanuel elected Rosella Anderson Dellis Dimmick Ronald Dreeszen and Mary Ellen Powell to three year council terms and installed them. ushers and funeral ushers were named along with auditors and treasurer Curtis Lewison Jr. Union Creek named new council members Meri Fickbohm Eleanor Harvey Jerry Johnson Alma Seely and appointed farm board and cemetery board members. Organists, superintendents, ushers, committees and auditors were listed with several names and positions throughout the two churches.

Local Brookings trip marks Queen of Jobs Daughters and church ordination

Mrs. R J Baker returned home after visiting Brookings South Dakota where she attended Ann Marie’s installation as Queen of Jobs Daughters on January 2. She also witnessed Rev Fisher ordained at St Pauls Episcopal on January 6 and joined PEO Founders Day luncheon January 19.
