Iowa Adds Hoover Day to Iowa Holidays in 63rd Assembly
With the new schedule effective January 1 the Iowa Department of Public Instruction notes changes to legal holidays. Washington's Birthday Memorial Day and Veterans Day have new observance Mondays while a new Herbert Hoover Day is added on a Sunday near August 10. The governor will issue proclamations for Veterans Day and related ceremonies.
