In the 1964 1965 Iowa public school programs 25714 farmers joined vocational agriculture including adult and young farmer classes. 11452 adults enrolled in 240 departments while 763 young men aged 20 to 20 participated in 41 departments. Classes averaged 48 students with 21.6 per meeting and 10.6 meetings per adult class. Topics covered farming methods current problems and solutions guided by advisory councils.
