Harold K Lawrence, chief warrant officer in the U S Navy, recently returned from Bangkok and a six month USA command tour. set to report January 3 to Great Lakes.
Westfield Indiana marks fifth year of free December electric power by mayor and town council. Town completes new waterworks with 30,000 gallon tank and begins supplying water to residents. Residents not yet connected should contact the Town Clerk or any council member.
The family of Herman Milbrodt Sr expresses sincere thanks for cards floral tributes memorials and food received after their recent bereavement.

A collection of student essays honors the American flag, its meaning, and national ideals. Authors Mahlon Dirks Donna Lockwood Stephen Pollock discuss liberty, justice, and duty with references to Francis Scott Key, historic wars, and national unity, highlighting respect, volunteering, and civic duty.
In a survey of 110245 Iowa public secondary school girls, almost 40 percent aim for professional careers such as teacher or engineer, 15 percent for housewives, and 15 percent for clerical work. Eighth graders show the strongest tilt to professional careers, while seventh and twelfth graders report the least. Change in expected education shifts aspirants: 29 percent for professional work, 24 percent for homemaker, 16 percent for clerical work. Mothers are mainly housewives (60 percent) with 11 percent clerical and 5 percent professional, contrasting with 39 percent daughters aiming for professional roles.
Iowa schools increasingly rely on professional school social workers to address student issues rooted in social and emotional factors. The State Department of Public Instruction has hired a consultant to expand services, with hopes for broader use of Title I funds from the 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
The Raider Review Staff celebrated a Christmas party at Mr Hoff’s residence on December 16. Gifts were exchanged and games were played during a luncheon featuring taverns chips brownies and pop, and attendees described the time as very enjoyable.

In Plymouth County Iowa Probate No 9159 the district court gives notice that on December 22 1965 the undersigned was appointed administrator of the estate of Arthur I Harrington Deceased Creditors are asked to file claims with the clerk for allowance and to make immediate payments to the administrator as required by law
A probate notice states that claims not filed within six months from the second publication will be forever barred. Dated December 22, 1965, Albert Harrington as administrator, with Richard L. Smith as attorney in Akron Iowa. Notice published December 30, 1965 and January 6, 1966.
Iowan farmers and landowners are urged to inspect stored corn and other grains for moisture. With mild damp foggy weather, excess moisture can damage grain securing price support loans. ASCS county committees warn CCC no longer tests moisture. farmers must monitor and report any spoilage or heating to the ASCS office.
