Correction to news printed last week notes Vernon Robinson and family were guests Christmas day of the Crouchs, not the Bern home. Dinner guests at Hoffman home included Pam Powell, Leuenhagen family, Nora Bowman and son, Daryled Hoff man and Denise, Beaubien, Campbell family, Solomon siblings, and Richard Schierling. School board meeting postponed to January 15 at 8 p.m. to discuss the 1975-76 budget.
A list of courses including Writing for pleasure and profit German and French Woodworking shorthand bookkeeping and accounting and many more. Beginning Sewing Cooking and other subjects will start mid January with enrollment phone numbers for Mr. Schoppenhorst Mrs. Morehead and others. A Lamaze class series begins Thursday Jan 9 at St Joseph School of Nursing with enrollment details and instructor contacts. Three area hospitals welcome husbands who complete a childbirth course with doctor approval.
Local families from Akron Olney Texas Aberdeen S D Sioux Falls Marshall Lawton Sioux City Brunsville Le Mars and Perry Iowa shared holidays with Grace Small and relatives. Visitors included Basil Blum Bruce Barr Biela Small W L Mitchell Steve Tonkin and many others as Christmas and New Year events spanned Iowa Minnesota South Dakota and Nebraska.
Chatsworth area residents and relatives hosted and visited during Christmas and New Year. Numerous guests from Le Mars Alcester Hawarden Sioux City Vermillion Frankfort Germany and Ireton joined local families for dinners suppers and gatherings throughout the holiday period. The Plymouth county World War I veterans meeting is set for January 11 in Le Mars with a 1:30 start at the Eagles building.

Mr and Mrs William Bill Miller of Akron celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on January 15. They were married January 15 1950 at the Methodist church in Akron. They have four children Terry Debbie Singer Patty Jo and Cindy and one granddaughter Amy Miller all of Akron. A dance in their honor will be held January 18 1975 at Le Mars Eagle hall hosted by their children. Bill works at Dirks Motor Co Frances is a typist at the Akron Register Tribune.
The Daily Sentinel clarifies a Nov 29 story on Eye emergency ambulance plan for the county. Al Hunter of Iowa EMS testified Nov 25 before a Le Mars ambulance study committee. The corrected excerpt substitutes Le Mars for Plymouth county in the opening line. Hunter suggests Plymouth county should unite to craft a workable system, while Akron may reassess needs. New EMS legislation pending will regulate ambulance licensing and personnel standards.
County officials consider a ten year plan to meet evolving federal and state emergency medical service regulations. A cooperative county approach could unlock half the funding, enabling Plymouth county towns including Le Mars to upgrade or replace ambulances, equipment, and trained staff to achieve rapid response targets and accessible hospitals within set time frames.
