The PTA meets Monday February 16 at 8 p m to view a film Pit of Despair about Drugs and drug abuse with discussion. Mrs Gerd H Johnson 77 dies after long illness
Mrs Gerd H Johnson age 77 died Friday January 30 at Akron hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held February 3 at Akron Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev Harris Hostager officiating. Burial followed in Riverside cemetery with Schroeder Funeral Home directing. Survivors include her husband son Walter and daughter Mrs Vance Ericken, brother Fred Popken and four sisters. Born April 4 1892 in Jever Germany she came to the United States at age 20. She married Gerd H Johnson January 7 1914 in Preston Township Plymouth County.
