Members shared items their grandmothers owned and voted to sponsor a local girl for Iowa Federation of Women's Clubs district scholarships while Daryl Siebens announced an February 1 entry deadline for the federation creative writing program. Dorothy Finzen and Carol Harris performed a playlet with Birdie Harris at the piano. Next meeting features a Christmas luncheon December 17 hosted by Caryl Siebens with cohostesses Penny Bryant and Ruth Millard and Oma Gassman presenting the program Christmas Symbols.

Rural Le Mars recipients Mrs. Elmer Schnepf and the couple Gene Lauters won a regional Division I award in the Iowa Soil Conservation Achievement program conducted by the Des Moines Register and Tribune and Iowa Farm and Home Register. Local division winners Albert Bottsen and Eldon Gabel named in other divisions. Plymouth County attendees listed.
