Special Correspondent reports on the Ladies Aid sending a niece gift to Mrs. Richard Milner while she remains bed bound. A large crowd attended the final Aid meeting before the bazaar with plans for lunch booths and Christmas party at Sunnyside. Numerous local residents attend events, PTA meetings discuss a dental clinic, and students and families are noted in Thanksgiving and school activities across Milnerville, Sioux City, Elk Point, and Curlew Indiana.
A local elder voiced a wish to live longer and keep his vision. A New York beauty expert told a Coral Gables Florida convention of the Florida Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association that American women will wear topless bathing suits by 1940, noting current trends toward minimal tops and shorts for both sexes.
The Clever Clover 4-H Club met at the home of Marjorie and Darlene Robertson on Saturday November 19. Officers elected include Miriam Adams as president Lenora Popken as vice president Lois Jean Harris as secretary treasurer Ella Popken as historian and Darlene Robertson as reporter. The afternoon was spent on games and a luncheon was served.
