The Goodwill truck will be in West field on August 16 leaving contributions at Mrs A W Hummel's home. Mr and Mrs Harold Raub of Park ston visited old friends Mr and Mrs Phil Beaubien Sr Saturday. Mr and Mrs A A Lilly visited Rev and Mrs Joseph Steele in Sioux City on Monday. Ina Stevens stayed overnight with her daughter and son in Sioux City. Mrs Carter was a surgical patient at St Joseph Hospital in Sioux City and returned home Saturday. Dr and Mrs Charles Green visited the Whiteads in Sioux City on Sunday. They then went to Brown's Lake with Mr and Mrs Bob Trobaugh. Ollie Kunkle and daughter Mae Clark returned to Hinkley Minn with Ed Nelson. Fred Hummel of Elk Point visited the Wester home last week with Norman Tucker and son Gary. George Tucker, Mrs Pat Burnight and children of Riverside visited Frank Langle Jr for a birthday dinner with cake and ice cream.

Skinner family hospital trend in Jefferson South Dakota

The Skinner family of Jefferson South Dakota has faced multiple hospitalizations over six months starting February with Mrs Skinner. Daughters Nadine 15 Lois Ann 9 Janet Gail 3 and sons Roger 11 suffered pneumonia eye injury bicycle fall and concussion respectively. Earlier injuries include neck and arm fractures and four tonsillectomies.

Special to Register Tribuna from Kingsville Texas reports Naval Aviation Cadet Ronald G Luckel, son of Mr and Mrs Henry Lucken of Akron Iowa, trains at Naval Auxiliary Air Station Kingsville. He studied at Iowa State College Ames before enlisting. Kingsville sits near the Gulf of Mexico where student aviators undergo all weather flight training in SNB Beechcraft and receive fighter or anti submarine warfare training in service aircraft.

Don’t Stand In The Boat Advice For Safe Boating

Boaters are urged to stay seated in small boats and avoid standing or walking in a craft. Move only in shallow water when changing positions and keep near shore to limit risk. Do not stand when raising or lowering anchors as it may cause a capsize. If capsize occurs, stay with the boat and wait for help.
