Old Timers to Battle AHS Nine on Monday Night

Akron readers will see the Old Timers face Akron High School in the annual Old Timers Baseball Game on Monday night August 5 at the Akron grounds. Veteran players such as Bob Tucker Cliff Miller Ellis Tucker Lefty Swift Arden Brown Armand Brown Phil Beaubien Bard Lilly Johnny Martin Peron Swalley Bill Enockson Tommy Martin Sunny Lennon Hap Davis Gary Hartmann and Howard Connors will compete against the energetic High School squad. The Akron High School Band will perform a half hour concert at 7 30 pm before the game which starts at 8 00 pm with fans urged to arrive early for a good seat and an evening of sportsmanship and fun.

Wedded July 14 at Sioux City

Miss Sandra Christine Small and Lynn Alfred Carlson were married July 14 at Wesley Methodist church. The bride wore a satin gown with lace and pearl applique and carried white roses.
