Chatsworth Chatter Echoes Easter Visits and Thanks

Obituary for Lois K. Rossow of LaPorte City

Lois Kettering Rossow 52 of LaPorte City died Thursday evening at Scholtz Memorial Hospital Waterloo of cancer. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday at St Paul United Methodist Church LaPorte City with burial at Ferguson Cemetery Lake View. She taught fourth grade at Akron school then owned Johannsen Rossow Funeral Home with her husband since 1958. Survived by husband Gordon R Rossow mother Mrs Howard Kettering Lake View son Mark and daughter Lexa Jane, a brother Fred M Kettering and sister Mrs John Barker. Memorials to St Paul UMC or Hawkeye Chapter Red Cross Waterloo.

Travel group heads to New Orleans for Spring Fiesta and to Sioux City for Lawrence Welk Show. A thank you note by Larry Waterbury reflects on flowers and hospital visits. Plymouth County forms a Conservation Education Committee with Worth Banks as chair. Douglas Herman of Remsen Union High School elected chairman with Judy Homan as secretary. Washington High Leads Sioux Falls Choral Fest Highlights

The Sioux Falls Choral Fest on April 14 featured five high school choirs including Washington and Liggels light. Directed massed choir led by Dale Grotenhuis of Dordt College. Baltic High School led by Ronn Huettmann presented Lotti Kyrie and Schubert mass extracts plus Yugoslav folk songs. Huettmann also organist at April 18 wedding of Rhonda Wills and Jerry Baumann at The Church of the Good Shepherd.
