Mitchells join 50th anniversary in Collins Iowa

The Mitchells attended Glen and Mrs Mitchells 50th wedding anniversary in Collins Iowa on Sunday April 20. The Junior-Senior Prom is set for Saturday April 26. Westfield School was informed by the State Board of Education that as of April 18 they are back on the accredited schools list.

Wenke Welch Marriage Blessed at St Peters Church

Mr and Mrs Paul Wenke announce the marriage of daughter Mary to Robert Welch son of Mr and Mrs Ray Welch on Saturday April 19 at St Peters Catholic Church in Kansas City Missouri. Portland Preston Pillars 4-H Club meets after skating plan

The Portland Preston Pillars 4-H Club opened with president Roger Oetken leading 11 members and 2 visitors. They scheduled a roller skating party for April 26 in Orange City and left from the Bowling alley at 7 30 p.m. Delegates for Jr. 4-H Camp are Robert Koch with Jeff Kots as alternate. County 4-H Council delegates are Bruce Hemming sen, Scott Hemmingsen, and Don Koch with George Talbott as alternate. State Convention delegates are Roger Oetken and Richwald. The annual meeting is set for June 16. Don Koch is the reporter.

4-H Garden Project Meeting Held Friday Evening

The second 4-H garden project meeting will take place Friday April 25 at 8 00 p m in the Girls 4 H Building at the Fairgrounds. Ardyce Roehr says Mrs Frank Lauters will discuss transplanting and weed control and any garden problems. All 4 H members and parents are urged to attend and enrollment is open that evening.

Buffalo Valley District Scout Circus in Orange City May 10

The Buffalo Valley District of the Boy Scouts of America will present its annual Scout Circus at Northwestern College Physical Education Building in Orange City on May 10 at 6 30 P M CST. Scouts from numerous towns will perform showcasing scouting skills. Pinewood Derby starts at 6 30 P M DST with weigh in at 6 P M Tickets go on sale April 5 at one dollar each, admitting a family.
