Funeral services held for Chris Beech in Chatsworth
Funeral services were held Monday April 5 for Chris Beech 83 of Chatsworth Iowa at St Matthew's Lutheran Church with Rev Durwood Clauson officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery Akron under Schroeder Funeral Home direction. Beech died at his home April 8 after living alone. He was born June 27 1887 in Schleswig Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1904. He married Meta Mangelson March 25 1909 at Dennison Iowa. She died January 1969. He was a longtime Akron area farmer before retiring and moving to Chatsworth in 1953. Survivors include son Paul of LeMars and daughters Ida Groegen Granville Elsie Frerichs Ella Frerichs Rose Feauto all of Akron and Lillian Albert of Hinton 28 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
