Attorney Calvin P. Humphrey died at his home 213 Perkins Street at 4:30 a.m. after an apoplexy struck following a day at his office. Born June 21, 1840 in Hudson Ohio, he served in the Civil War and practiced law in Akron with W. Stuart and later with his son Clarence B. Humphrey. Survived by wife Della Whedon and children Clarence and Mrs. D. A. Crossley, his death was mourned by Summit County Bar and local groups. funeral arrangements will be private, with interment likely at Hudson.
