Limousine Service Founder Opens Careers of Style in Aiken

Dennis Taylor, founder of Taylor Limousine Service, uses a 24 foot Cadillac limo for memorable occasions. He charges $2 per hour with a two hour minimum, offers free fuel for the first 50 miles, and 20 cents per mile after. The Taylor family, including eight children, helps operate and maintain the car, which is rented for proms, weddings, funerals, and corporate events. Consolidating Phone Books Reach Aiken County in 1988

Aiken County will get a countywide directory consolidating five local phone books. Consolidated Directories Inc. of Columbia will include white and yellow pages with a dining guide and county map, out in March 1988, distributed free to residents and businesses. Pepperidge Farm marked a year without lost time injuries at its Aiken plant, logging over 351 000 hours worked by 190 employees.
