Planning Commission Recommends Compromise on Horse Stable Plan
The Aiken Planning Commission backed a compromise for a conditional use permit to allow horses and stables on two Rhone Drive lots owned by Paul and Linda Seward. One lot will host horses, the other remains without stables due to drainage concerns. The panel also proposed R-1H zoning to allow stables by right and denied a Pine Log Road annexation for neighborhood business zoning amid resident protest and a 71-signature petition.
