Legionnaires Disease No Longer Mysterious
Dr Carl B Fliermans outlined advances on Legionnaires' disease at a Savannah River Chapter ACS meeting. He noted 100000 to 1000000 annual U S cases, that man made water systems foster growth, and that proper chlorination keeps levels safe. He identified risk groups, seasonality August to October, and long recoveries up to 18 months.
