AEC Plans Heat Transfer Lab Adjacent to Savannah River Site
The Atomic Energy Commission will build a 3200 square foot heat transfer laboratory next to the Savannah River Laboratory main building. Construction starts around October 1 with a prefabricated metal structure to support heat transfer studies essential for reactor fuel cooling and Californium-252 production.

ASC Voting Under Way In Aiken County Farms Outline
Mail ballots are being sent for election of 15 community ASC committees. Voters may select up to three candidates for three committee members and two alternates for one year. Ballots use a dual envelope system to protect secrecy and eligibility. Only those with farm interests and legal age may vote.
