Make a Difference Day Comes to Aiken County Events
The 10th annual Make Difference Day, sponsored by Weekend, features multiple events in Aiken County. At Carolina Bay Nature Reserve on Price Avenue a large activity runs 11 am to 1 pm led by Lee Dane of the Aiken County Open Land Trust. In Jackson, at risk students from Jackson Middle School join volunteers to clean a tornado-damaged park from 9 am to about 2 pm. Nicholson Village East Aiken Elementary and local churches partner 9 am to 2 pm to improve a home work center.
