United Way of Aiken County closes its 2000 campaign by raising $2,829,559, surpassing the $2,620,000 goal. Campaign chair Dr. Larry Brede credits countywide participation and volunteer leadership. Corporate Division reached $431,764, above goal. Professional Division was still collecting as of Friday with $78,765 raised.
