People's Community Capital Corp OTCBB PPLM reported for the quarter ended Sept 30 2003 net income of 292 694 or 27 cents per share up from 280 026 or 27 cents in 2002 a 4 percent rise. Nine months ended Sept 30 2003 net income 821 366 or 75 cents per share vs 722 469 or 69 cents in 2002 up 14 percent. Total assets 109 million a 7 percent gain since 2002 year end loans 61 million deposits 94 million non performing loans 10 483 at Sept 30 2003. The bank holds three offices in Aiken and North Augusta and trades as PPLM.

The 2003 Ridge Spring Harvest Festival begins today on Main Street from 3 to 11 pm. Activities include carnival rides, food and craft vendors, a 7 pm bingo, a 9 am to 11 pm Friday lineup, a 9 am to 11 pm Saturday program, a 11 am parade, and a JAKES event for youth. Proceeds support scholarships and community projects.
