Orville D Smith 89 former North Augusta attorney dies
Orville Douglas Smith 89 of North Augusta SC died October 21 2013 at home. He was the citys first attorney and later served as city judge recorder mayor and city attorney. He retired in February 2013 after 61 years practicing law. Funeral Friday October 25 2013 at 11 00 AM Pineview Memorial Park with Dr Joe Lusk officiating. He served in World War II and was active in Grace United Methodist Church and several civic groups. Survivors include his children Jennifer Wilson Mark Smith and Brody Smith. sister Jackie McLemore. grandchildren Katie Gates Parker Wilson Madison Smith and great grandchildren Brayden and Landon Gates. Memorials to Jesse C Lynch American Legion Post 71. Rowland Funeral Home in charge.
