Woman detained after Verizon store burglary and chase
Destinee Chernne Stroman, 20, of Rocky Knoll Drive, was charged with second degree burglary reckless driving failure to stop for law enforcement and unlawful carrying of a pistol after police say she broke into a Verizon Wireless store stole iPhones and fled in a dark Lexus then wrecked on Whiskey Road. Aiken County detention records show she remained detained Monday evening. Officers found a bag of iPhones and a stainless handgun in the vehicle and damage totaling several thousand dollars to the store doors.
