Nancy Reagan to face ethics review of wardrobe disclosure
Washington AP reports the federal ethics office will revisit its 1982 ruling that Nancy Reagan need not disclose borrowing gowns and jewelry after new claims she wore items valued over 1 million dollars since. Mrs Reagan’s secretary Elaine Crispen said none of the items were kept and that disclosure was not legally required.

Fan Failure Triggers Savannah River Plant Evacuation
An exhaust fan failure at SRP in F-Area prompted a precautionary evacuation of about 100 workers from a plutonium processing building. About 700 workers were detained briefly for a special nuclear materials inventory. The failed back-up fan, under routine maintenance, caused the shutdown of F-Area until a repair at 3:15 p.m. All materials were accounted for after the inventory at 4:34 p.m. SRP officials revised upward an early July spill estimate of radioactively contaminated water into Four Mile Creek.
